Sari is a beautiful village located in Rudraprayag district. It is based near Ukhimath and popular as the trek to Deoria Tal commenced from here. The village is located within the dense forest of Oak and Rhododendron trees. Tourists can see red Rhododendron flowers around February and March. The major source of livelihood for the Sari people are farming and tourism. The villagers are very cordial and very supportive. Every year the local people of Sari village organize religious and cultural events. Tourists can engage themselves with multiple activities during the stay at Sari village like Trekking to Deoria Tal, interacting with local people, participating in fans and festivals, Bird watching, Yoga and medication. trekker experiences mesmerising views of beautiful mountains.
Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) is the nearest airport which is approx. 210 Km from Sari Village . Rented taxis are available at the airport.
The easiest and the most economical way to reach Sari Village is via Uttarakhand roadways bus and can be availed on ISBT ( during evening ) to Ukhimath,. Alternatively they can also take buses to Rishikesh/ Rudraprayag. From there they can take shared or private taxi to Sari village which is approx. 10 km from Ukhimath.
