Naukuchiatal

Naukuchiatal or "lake of nine corners" is a small hill station in Nainital district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The lake is 175 feet deep and is situated at 1,220 m above sea level. It is surrounded by hills covered in trees and shrubs. It is the deepest of all the lakes in the Nainital region.

By Flight

Pant Nagar Airport is the nearest airbase to Naukuchiatal which is almost 70 km away. The drive takes almost two - two and a half hour. Taxis can easily be availed outside the airport. Dehradun is another option and it takes almost five hours to reach the desired destination via taxi. Nearest Airport: Dehradun - 182 kms from Naukuchiatal

By Road

The state-owned buses (USRTC) and private buses run regularly from Uttarakhand and its neighbouring states. The intra-city bus services are also quite frequent connecting Naukuchiatal with other major hill stations of the state. You can easily access this hill station from Nainital, Almora, Kathgodam via bus or taxi.

By train

Kathgodam, which is at a distance of nearly 40 km from the village, acts as the nearest railway station. It is well connected to all the major cities like Bangalore, Shimla, Delhi, Kolkata, Kanpur, Dehradun and Jammu etc. Cabs and buses are easily available outside the station.
